How much is user experience worth?
Slight spoiler alert: a lot. Especially when your users are your employees.
Users? Rather, workers.

See you at PyCon Italia 2024!
How long does it take a user to decide whether to stay or leave a website?
Exactly 0.05 seconds.
That's a number that tells us how much first impressions also affect the user's online experience: slow page loading, confusing and irrelevant information, difficulty reading and understanding the text and images.
We discussed this 📬in a previous issue of Disclosure, but we want to focus on the numbers and the consequences of not studying and working on the UX part of a product.
In fact, the user experience plays a major role in retaining user-customers, attracting new ones, and driving market consumption.
According to recent industry studies, a well-designed website can increase conversion rates by up to 200%.
When we talk about digital products, we're certainly talking about software. Still, we're also talking about ROI (Return On Investment): the general trend and our experience tells us that prioritizing UX in the early stages of product development - when we understand the problem space and the solution space, and it's easier to identify and solve usability problems - allows us to optimize costs.
Consider now those users who are forced to visit a particular platform. This is where the user-centric approach becomes critical.
Users? Rather, workers.
When we design and develop a platform for internal use, built to enable people to do their job, all the talk about UX becomes a real necessity. After all, productivity and efficiency increase when users are able to get more done in less time, thanks to a user interface that responds to their needs and desires.
So, while an improved UX helps customers engage and convert, it helps internal users perform and operate efficiently. It enhances the mood, engagement, and overall climate of the workplace. These aspects that we at 20tab believe are central to ensuring that employees can express themselves and feel satisfied.
Not just at 20tab. We have developed internal platforms for companies in different industries and countries, and continue to support them with the right UX and technology mix.
For 🟢Elk Range Royalties, we implemented new features that make tracking work on geographic maps easier. We revamped the technology stack to improve the overall performance of the platform.
In 🟢MIRETS, there was a need to display the infrastructure on a geographic map and to enable processing and order management for ETS operators. By intervening on the UX and technology side, we made the daily work of these people much easier.
Thinking about a product with a user-centric approach can only benefit both the company and the end user. That is why discovery and design play a central role and are an ongoing commitment in our 20tab way.
